The Life I Wanted

“Mommy!”

I half opened my eyes. Alex is standing beside the bed waiting for me to wake up. I gave him the best smile I can give in the morning after bed. I checked the time, it’s only fifteen minutes after seven. I closed my eyes trying to get more sleep.

“Mommy!”

I opened my eyes again, tried to get up, greeted him “Good morning!” with a very big smile, and lied down again.

“Mommy pu pu!”

This time I knew I had to get up. I quickly checked his diaper, saw traces of pu pu but couldn’t find it.

When Things Don’t Work

LOL.
