Mother’s Day Special

Happy Mother’s Day Ma! ^_^

Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet in person two of the best blogger moms in the country. It was a very rare and special opportunity that a newbie blogger like me would actually talk in person with these two great mothers who are living their lives to the fullest taking care of their children at the same time pursuing their careers or different interests in life.

Ate Kengkay was very different from what I imagined. I never thought she was very formal and witty, at the same time so KALOG and so easy to converse with. We had a great time laughing and sharing thoughts and ideas on almost every subject we came up with. (Thank you talaga Mommy Kengks! Had the best time with you. Hope to see you again in the future.) Her very cute little daughter Bea was with her as well as her niece (forgot her name ate Kengks) who is really very nice and had a few conversations with her too. Bea, just like my boss, is so cute and stubborn at the same time, which i believe she has all the right to be because of her extreme beauty. She likes to take pictures but doesn’t want to take her own picture which I find very amusing. That gives us a hint that she wouldn’t grow up to be a narcissist. She was really adorable.

Pinay MegaMom sneaked in and spent a short quality time with us. It was really great getting to meet someone like her. Imagine a short haired coporate looking mom who speaks very elegantly but KALOG DIN at the same time! It was a short but significant talk for me. In just a few minutes of discussion my whole insight of taking and practicing med has been changed. She shared her experiences practicing her profession and what made her decide to switch to work in a corporate world instead and has given her more time for her family. According to her, the emotional stress that you get working corporately is nothing compared to what you get from your patients trying to take care or save their lives. That was something new for me because all the while I have been wanting and my sibblings to take med. She really set to me a different outlook in life. It was also thrilling to know that we came from the same alma matter!

The whole event became an inspiration to me. Both moms helped me realize my worth as a mother and how our roles touches lives in various ways. It also strengthened my love for my own mother as well as my child and my family. It is so good to know that inspite of the crisis that is happening globally as well as the numerous deviated trends going on in our society, there are still mothers who remain firmly footed on the ground, does not wither and continue to nurture their children with all the love and support and equip them with knowledge and values they need to overcome life’s battles.

It might be too early to greet our mothers a Happy Mother’s Day, but it’s always the right timing to say that we love them.
